CPC leadership reviews disciplinary inspection report

The Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee met on Friday to review a comprehensive report on the second round of disciplinary inspection missions of the 20th CPC Central Committee.
Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, presided over the meeting.
It was noted at the meeting that the two rounds of disciplinary inspection missions carried out by the CPC Central Committee since the 20th CPC National Congress had covered all centrally-administered enterprises.
The meeting pointed out that Party-building work in centrally-administered enterprises and relevant departments had been strengthened, with new achievements in terms of the Party's full and rigorous self-governance.
It stressed the need to use the inspections and rectifications as powerful measures to promote high-quality development and the Party's full and rigorous self-governance.
Strengthening supervision over rectification of problems identified in the inspection, and establishing an accountability system for rectifying problems, were also underlined at the meeting.
State-owned enterprises (SOEs) are important material and political foundation of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and they should uphold and strengthen Party leadership, and guard against and defuse risks to safeguard high-quality development, according to the meeting.
SOEs should further advance the exercise of full and rigorous Party self-governance, remain tough in cracking down on corruption at all times, and resolutely remove the conditions for corruption, it said.
Other matters were also deliberated at the meeting.
